As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and developing the firmware for Therma industrial control systems, including integrations between Therma and third-party hardware/software vendors, and developing scalable code that may serve as the foundation for future innovation. Working in collaboration with both our North America and APAC teams, you will share your technical knowledge, provide guidance, and implement industry best practices, while also collaborating closely with our Software, Mobile, and QA organizations; helping to mentor and develop a world-class engineering organization as the company scales.
This role reports directly to the Software Engineering Manager and can be located remotely within North America.
4+ years of professional work experience developing software for embedded systems
Expert proficiency with embedded C or C++
Proficiency with compiler and linking process
Experience with RTOS such as Mbed, or FreeRTOS
Familiarity with bootloader
Intermediate proficiency with higher level languages like Node.js or Python
Experience with the STM32 family of microcontrollers is a plus
Experience integrating with existing hardware platforms
Prior professional experience working within distributed development environments
Prior experience working in a startup environment
