April 11th

Driving Sustainability in Agri-Food Systems in Latin America and the Caribbean

LATAM

The FONTAGRO has announced the call for proposals to co-finance innovative projects in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The objective of this call is to identify regional research, development and innovation projects with a strong impact on the ground that promote efficiency and resilience, and reduce the environmental footprint in the agri-food systems of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Green Transition Projects

Europe

Interreg NEXT MED brings together 15 countries towards a smarter, greener, more inclusive, and better governed Mediterranean region. The Call for Green Transition Projects provides €83.7 million in European Union’s funding to tackle climate challenges across the Mediterranean region.

The Urban Future Prize Competition

For the ninth consecutive year, the Urban Future Lab is proud to present the Urban Future Prize Competition, which identifies and supports top climatetech startups. Thanks to the generous support of MUFG Bank, Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas), and NYU Tandon School of Engineering, two winners will each receive a $50,000 cash prize and admission into the ACRE Incubator—New York’s longest-running and most successful climatetech program.

AIGi Accelerator

We scout for and partner with start-ups and scale-ups to find solutions to key challenges in the aviation industry. We offer two tracks:

Deploy: a 12 week track for start-ups that have solutions ready for our airlines and operating companies to test in a proof-of-value. 

Discover: a 24 week track for early-stage, deep tech start-ups that are pre-commercialisation and looking to gain a deeper understanding of the aviation industry. This year, we are focusing on novel technologies for sustainable aviation fuel, carbon removals, single-use plastic alternatives and fuel efficiencies.

Investment Innovation Fund

India

The Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) is seeking proposals for its round two launched Investment Innovation Fund, which aims to empower selected entrepreneurship support organizations (ESOs) to develop supplementary programs or interventions in collaboration with investors. These initiatives are anticipated to enhance capital deployment in waste and circularity businesses.

Thriving Communities: Climate Resilience US program.

USA

Village Capital, in partnership with the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Foundation and Salesforce, has launched the Thriving Communities: Climate Resilience US program. This equity-free accelerator program will support 10 early-stage startups developing solutions that support climate resilience and uplift low-income communities in the US. These companies will receive access to Village Capital’s investment-readiness curriculum, on-demand coaching from an Investment Analyst, and mentorship from investors as well as climate-focused subject matter experts in our network. Additionally, two startups will be eligible for investment capital at the end of the program.

PLAI Scale Up Program

They seek startups and scale ups with validated AI technology, strong market traction and a clear growth strategy looking to expand, secure strategic partnerships and maximize their impact. They welcome AI-driven ventures across multiple industries, where AI is driving major transformation.

Halcyon Climate Fellowship Program 2025

Latin America & Carabbean

Submissions are now open for the Latin America & the Caribbean Climate Fellowship 2025 to empower entrepreneurs across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) addressing climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience.

Founders gain expert training, critical resources to accelerate their ventures, and two one-week, in-person residencies in the region to accelerate their ventures.

EVolutionS Program to support Startups in Electric Vehicle Component Manufacturing

India

The program EVolutionS aim to strengthen manufacturing competitiveness by extending support to startups in product development, testing, validation and demonstration. The Program intends to accelerate the development of indigenous materials, components/sub-systems of Electric Vehicle that includes Battery, Motors, Drives, Power Electronics and EV Charging Infrastructure.

Organised under the umbrella of the European Union’s efforts to promote sustainable development and environmental resilience, this fourth edition of the contest is jointly organised by the EU Neighbours South programme, DG MENA, MedWaves (the UNEP/MAP Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Consumption and Production), with the support of the European Training Foundation (ETF), SPARK, WES-BCA, Interreg NEXT MED and Expertise France.

The latest iteration of our Studio and Incubator will exclusively support US-based startups developing ocean data technologies and services across all applications aligned with the priorities of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Ocean Enterprise Initiative. This is a result of Seaworthy’s expanded role in its $14 million NOAA partnership, The Continuum, a coordinated network of ocean enterprise accelerators that fast-tracks startups getting to market by making support for BlueTech solutions more scalable, efficient, and interconnected.
